1. Types of Customer Data
The types of Customer Data that HHT collects depends on the circumstances of collection and on the nature of the service requested or transaction undertaken.
There are two broad categories of Customer Data that HHT collects depending on the circumstances:
- Personal Data, which includes but not limited to –
- Personal information that link back to an individual e.g. name, gender, date of birth, personal identification numbers;
- Contact information e.g. address, phone number, email address;
- Payment information e.g. credit or debit card information, including name of cardholder, card number and expiry date;
- Order information e.g. order information, product purchased or other service preferences;
Statistic Data e.g. number of orders, visits to website. This is stored purely for analytical purposes, and is entirely anonymous. This information will not be stored to your customer record, and will only be aggregated for statistical analysis so that we can better understand HHT’s customer profile and improve our service offering.

For purposes of this policy statement, the phrase Customer Data includes Personal Data and Statistical Data.
The provision of Customer Data relevant for the transaction or service require at hand, (save for where the request for data is marked ‘optional’ in the forms used to collect personal data) is obligatory in order for HHT to carry out its services to you.
The failure to supply such Customer Data may result in
- HHT being unable to provide you with the services and/or products requested;
- HHT being unable to update you on our latest products launches/promotions and/or
- Your inability to any redemption activities organised by HHT.
2. Purposes for Collection, Use and Disclosure
Generally, HHT collects Customer Data, either directly from you at the time of purchasing our products and/or services or from your authorised representatives (i.e. persons whom you have authorised, persons who have been validly identified as being you or your authorised representative pursuant to our then-current security procedures), from publicly available sources, through our website in order to fulfill the following purposes, which include but not limited to:
- Providing services to you such as processing a transaction (e.g. making a purchase), providing technical assistance, assisting you in the transaction, providing promotion alert messages through HHT mobile services facility, registering internet purchases and Rewards programme.
- Marketing and communicating with you in relation to products and services offered by HHT.
- Safety, security and legal compliance.
HHT may also use and disclose your Customer Data with and to third parties in order to fulfill the purposes listed above.
In connection with the above, we may disclose your Customer Data to third parties, such as logistic partners.
HHT may also use and disclose your Customer Data to persons who have been validly identified as being you or your authorized representative(s) pursuant to our then-current security procedures, for the purpose of the relevant transaction or enquiry.
HHT may disclose your Customer Data to law enforcement agencies and government for security, customers purposes. For example, in cases where you send a product from HHT to family and friends overseas.
In addition, HHT may disclose Customer Data to our legal advisors for establishing, exercising or defending our legal rights, to our other professional advisors, or as otherwise authorised or required by law. HHT also reserves the right to share Customer Data as is necessary to prevent a threat to the life, health or security of an individual. Further, HHT may disclose Customer Data, as is necessary, to investigate suspected unlawful activities including but not limited to fraud, intellectual property infringement or privacy.
Statistical Data is not linked to a customer record and HHT does not need to seek consent for the collection, use and disclosure of Statistical Data.
4. Withdrawing Your Consent
The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your Customer Data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. You may withdraw consent and request us to stop collecting, using and/or disclosing your Customer Data for any or all of the purposes listed above by submitting your request in writing to HHT or via email to VIP@hockhuagroup.com.sg
Upon receipt of your writing request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable time(depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you) for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. In general, we shall seek to process your request within fourteen (14) business days of receiving it.
Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not be in the position to continue providing our goods and services to you and we shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of the request.
Please note that the withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose Customer Data where such collection, use and disclose without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.
5. Access to and Correction of Customer Data
If you wish to make (i) an access request for access to a copy of the Customer Data which we hold about you or information about the way in which we use or disclose your Customer Data, or (ii) a correction request to correct or update any of your Customer Data which we hold about you, you may submit your request in writing to HHT or via email to VIP@hockhuagroup.com.sg
Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request.
We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. In general, our response will be within fourteen (14) business days. Should we not be able to respond to your request within fourteen (14) business days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing within fourteen (14) business days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to provide you with any Customer Data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PAPD).
6. Accuracy of Customer Data
We generally rely on Customer Data provided by you (or your authorised representative). In order to ensure that your Customer Data is current, complete and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your Customer Data by informing HHT or via email to VIP@hockhuagroup.com.sg
7. Retention of Customer Data
We may retain your Customer Data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws.
We will cease to retain your Customer Data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the Customer Data was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.
8. Transfers of Customer Data Outside of Singapore
We generally do not transfer your Customer Data to countries outside of Singapore. However, if we do so, we will obtain your consent for the transfer to be made and we will take steps to ensure that your Customer Data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.
9. Protection of Customer Data
To safeguard your Customer Data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate administrative, physical and technical measures such as up-to-date antivirus protection.
You should be aware, however, that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to protect the security of your information and are constantly reviewing and enhancing our information security measures.
