In 1998 an area of the Maipo Valley in Melipilla was chosen due to its privileged microclimate, its soils and human factors that make it a unique place. Chocalan, a name given by the indigenous populations which means “yellow blossoms”, is located on the side of the Maipo Valley hills that are closer to the Coast.
